Nashville Comes to the Outback 2016
NASHVILLE COMES TO THE OUTBACK SHOWCASE returns to Parachilna’s Prairie Hotel
for a third consecutive year
Established bluegrass sweetheart and Golden Guitar winner Kristy Cox, is returning home to SA , bringing her music with her for a special Nashville Comes to The Outback showcase. Special guests will be Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Jerry Salley (USA), ARIA award winner Mike Carr, & Honky Tonk artist Travis List.
Kristy Cox is rapidly making an impact on the American bluegrass scene & has experienced a massive year . Her most recent album Part of Me was released in April, which has achieved both national and international success and was named the #1 Australian album on the Roots Music Report.
“Travis and I both hail from South Australia and live in Nashville,” says Kristy. Growing up in SA, we know the country music support is huge - “We bring a show to our home state which gives a taste of the style of music in Nashville , achieved by bringing artists who have lived, worked or recorded in Nashville” This year’s Nashville Comes to the Outback offers some of the best musicians on the touring circuit today.
American singer-songwriter Jerry Salley has worked closely with both Kristy & Travis & is responsible for producing Kristy’s most recent albums. A Nashville-based musician , Jerry has released hit after hit and intimidated various Billboard charts over the years.
Travis List’s Honky Tonk style has not only earned him a strong following at home, but also overseas. His recent album This Corner, which spawned several acclaiming charting singles, effortlessly combines country genres to create his unique sound.
Golden Guitar winning songwriter Mike Carr also joins the line-up. As creator of the revered award winning comedian Buddy Goode, his inclusion is highly anticipated.
